Nashville, TN National Sales Manager, Key Accounts This Nashville based position will be a critical component of the sales management team, managing an outside team of sales professionals, and focused on executing a strategic sales process and plan predominately targeting Mid Market organizations. You will coach, develop and manage a team of highly motivated sales professionals to sale enterprise EH&S web based applications. This position reports directly into the Director, National Sales.
Key Responsibilities: · Recruit, hire, train, coach, develop, and manage new & existing sales personnel · Plan and execute strategic direction of the Key Accounts sales team · Improve existing processes to support team quota attainment · Review and improve existing sales systems and resources · Create standards promoting quality activities and sales results · Interface with internal business units to ensure client satisfaction · Identify and promote training and skill development opportunities · Actively work with senior management to generate and exceed sales/revenues projections · Lead direct sales team in their management of prospecting, opportunities and forecasting · Manage the sales pipeline to ensure accuracy while maximizing revenue · Assess sales team in developing, expanding and retaining opportunities · Consistently review and report team and individual sales performances · Implement and manage a consistent account/territory planning process including goal setting and objectives · Lead by example · Set the strategic direction and tactics required to exceed sales quotas · Manage the sales pipeline to maximize revenue while providing accurate and timely forecast · Set standards for sales people in executing the sales cycle and ensure that required sales activities are meet · Assess team and individual sales performances
Knowledge & Skills Required: · Requires a bachelor's degree with at least 10 years of experience with both inside and outside sales & sales management · Familiar with a variety of sales concepts, practices, and procedures. · Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. · Utilizes Situational Leadership to guide and directs the work of others. · A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
