Tradeshow and Event Manager
PureSafety is looking for a senior-level tradeshow and event manager with proven strategic and tactical skills in planning, executing and managing a diverse range of national, regional and company-specific tradeshows and events. The position would work as part of a growing team of B2B marketing professionals. PureSafety currently participates in over 30 regional and national tradeshows, as well as hosts numerous client/prospect “knowledge exchanges” annually. We intend to host our first annual user conference in 2010 in Nashville.
The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent attention detail, an outgoing personality and hands-on tradeshow and event management experience in support of technology/software solutions. Specific experience in the Environmental, Health and Safety and/or Risk Management space is also a plus.
Significant duties and responsibilities include:
- Provide strategic leadership for PureSafety’s tradeshow, event and conference programs in the markets we serve.
- Work with multiple company, partner and client stakeholders to set our tradeshow and event strategy and evolve event processes and operations to optimize cost-effectiveness and strategic value.
- Work with stakeholders to ensure alignment of the overall tradeshow and events program with PureSafety brand and business goals, from show research, selection, and logistics management, to individual event strategy.
- Educate and provide counsel on tradeshow, event and exhibit marketing best practices for planning, execution, and measurement.
- Establish quantitative and quantifiable metrics to determine ROI of event participation.
- Manage the daily operations of PureSafety’s tradeshow, event and conference participation, including vendor relations, budget management, and procurement.
- Manage relationships with key vendors and marketing partners.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience developing, overseeing, and executing strategic tradeshow, event and user conference programs
- Experience with marketing to industrial and healthcare markets through tradeshows, conferences, and related events, including strategic planning and logistical management
- Experience with collaborating with integrated marketing communications teams
- Experience with marketing communications tactics that support and complement exhibiting, speaking at and sponsoring events
- Experience with brand building and lead generation programs at events
- Experience with budget management
- Experience with measuring event performance, including the latest ROI measurement techniques
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of stakeholders, including senior-level executives, junior staff, and exhibit industry vendors and show services personnel
- BA or BS degree required
